I am certified in
Telemental Health, Dialectical Behavior Therapy
Being a parent is the hardest job you will ever love! I remember hearing that as a young newlywed and thinking that was a strange paradox, but now some years later as a parent, I get it! We are living during a time where we are facing new challenges and trying to do our best to navigate sometimes troubled waters. Many of us are juggling so, so many things- parenting, work, home-life, activities, school, the list just goes on, and while trying to keep all the balls in the air, add a child with a mental health challenge, and it can sometimes feel like we are going to just fall apart. That is where I come in, a therapist who understands these challenges, and will be your partner in helping you and your child on their journey to improved mental health.
I have many years of experience working as a counselor in a variety of settings. The bulk of my professional time has been spent working in schools addressing a myriad of issues common to children, adolescents, and teens. I will help your young person feel connected and validated as we work together to address their concerns. I will encourage open communication so that you are able to understand and support them in this process.
Choosing a therapist that you feel will be a good fit for your child can seem daunting, so let me tell you a little bit more about myself and how I approach therapy: I am a Masters level clinician and National Certified Counselor (NCC) who is licensed in Pennsylvania and New Jersey (LPC) with 20+ years of professional work experience. My work experience includes diverse clients from preschool aged through young adults. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, depression, anger management, emotional regulation, sensory issues, motivation, self esteem, and confidence. I also have experience with parenting issues, ADHD related concerns and neurodiverse clients. My therapeutic approach is comprised of elements from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused, and Client-Centered Therapy as well as techniques based on mindfulness, integrative strategies, and overall wellness.
Taking the first step to find a therapist for your child takes a lot of courage and can be scary, but you are making a brave choice. If you feel I might be a good fit for your child, let's get started on the journey to better mental health!

Dawn is kind, intuitive, intelligent, skilled, down-to-earth, and practical. She’s gifted in connecting with kids and people, encouraging, and supportive, and always responds to our needs and questions. We are so thankful we found her! Since our child has met with her, we’ve been implementing practical, simple skills that build upon each other each week, while also exploring the root issues. We can’t recommend Dawn Wolf enough! Her expertise, intuitive approach, and personal style are a gift.

“People with goals succeed, because they know where they're going.”
Therapy with me looks like: Therapy is a journey whereby someone discovers strengths, learns new skills, and gains resiliency in order to experience improved mental health. Therapy is a partnership with your therapist who listens intently, meets you where you are, teaches you new skills, and guides you on your mental health journey. I believe therapy is a holistic process where mental health is connected to nutrition, sleep, exercise, personal connections, and mindfulness. Everything is connected to everything!
I will help you navigate through any issues with warmth, genuine caring, playfulness and humor (when appropriate), and a laser focus on getting you closer to your therapy goals.
My favorite kids game: Dressing up and pretend play
Fun fact: I studied 2 different forms of martial arts (Tae Kwon Do and Kenpo Karate) earning an intermediate rank in both, and grew up watching hours of Kung Fu movies!
My favorite hobbies: Gardening, singing, finding a good deal (thrifting), being outside in nature, arts and crafts, spending time with my family, traveling, reading and learning new things
