Is your child struggling with their emotions, behaviors, and/or struggling in school? It is difficult to watch your child or adolescent struggle and not be able to tap into their inner world and fix all the problems! When you choose therapy with me, I use fun and creative activities to help your child discover and explore that inner world safely, in the process they learn about their emotions, how to handle urges, and cope with the struggles and stressors of life. I view the people I work with as experts in their own lives and work from the needs they express and have. While I cannot fix all the problems, I can give you tools to understand, explore, and cope with the issues that may be present.
What about parents? I view parents as a partner in this journey, I work to encourage, empower, and uplift you as a parent to help meet your child's mental and emotional needs as well. I work to balance a child's privacy and honor their world while helping parents to understand that world and work together to see progress and achieve the goals we set together.

Therapy with me looks like: Therapy with me is driven by you. I want to ensure that the person I am working with is getting what they need, which means they have control of where we go and what we do. I work closely with parents, using Child Parent Relationship training skills to help build connections and meet needs. I work with children in play therapy skills to allow them to speak their own language and process the experiences they need. I also utilize sand tray and expressive art techniques to help meet clients where they are and be able to do what they need.
My favorite kids game: As a board game collector, I had numerous games I loved! Bonkers, Sorry, Trouble, and Mouse Trap were all favorites. I also loved playing playground games of freeze tag, hopscotch, four square, and more. I loved being social and having fun with peers.
Fun fact: As a child, I made a promise to myself that I would never grow up and so I persued play therapy to allow children, adolescents, and adults the opportunity to get to know and understand the child within.
My favorite hobbies: Crafting, Hiking, Playing and collecting board games, traveling and trying new things and adventures.
