Therapy with me looks like: Hi everyone! My name is Nicole and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, a Nationally Certified Counselor, a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, and Certified in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. Behind all these silly titles, is a girl who was diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder and told she would not amount to anything by peers and my high school guidance counselor. However, I did not let that stop me from achieving my goals. I graduated college, graduate school, and became a licensed professional counselor, while simultaneously working full time. While my goal of becoming a therapist for children and adolescents took a lot of curve balls since the pandemic, I am eager to be back working with children and adolescents. In the meantime, I have started a business for counseling, started a podcast, and have challenged myself to work with adults and geriatrics. However, counseling children and adolescents is where my heart and soul is happiest. Since childhood, I dreamed of making a difference in the world, empowering children to achieve their goals, and reach for the stars! I live to help others and maintain an active role in the community both as a volunteer and citizen. I take my job seriously but like to have fun at other times. While I cannot promise I will fix or solve all of your problems, I can agree that you will not face them alone. All of my clients are equipped with techniques that are evidenced based to calm and relax your nervous system. I look forward to meeting you and your child by helping you achieve success and happiness! Children and families that are most successful in treatment with me are engaged and open to learning. They do not expect a "quick fix" but rather look at treatment as a unique journey. Families that can work together and join as a system and force, tend to be most successful and achieve optimal success.
