  • Therapy with me looks like: Therapy with me is all about creating a safe, supportive space where you can talk, express yourself, and work through your feelings. Here’s what you can expect in our time together: Getting to Know You: The first few sessions are about building a relationship. I’ll ask questions to understand what brought you here and how you're feeling. We’ll talk about things like school, friends, family, and anything else on your mind. You can share as much or as little as you feel comfortable with. Talking and Listening: Therapy is a place for you to talk openly without judgment. Whether you’re feeling happy, sad, frustrated, or confused, you can share those feelings. I’ll listen carefully and ask questions to help you explore your emotions and understand what might be causing them. Fun Activities: Especially for children, therapy can involve more than just talking. We might use creative activities like drawing, playing games, or using toys to help express feelings that might be hard to put into words. These activities make it easier and more comfortable to share what you're going through. Learning Coping Skills: You’ll also learn helpful tools to manage your feelings, like how to calm down when you're upset, handle stressful situations, or solve problems. We’ll practice these together, so you feel more confident using them in real life. Setting Goals: We’ll work together to set small, achievable goals. These could be things like improving how you handle your feelings, building better friendships, or feeling less anxious in certain situations. Each session will bring us closer to those goals. Support for Parents: If your parents are involved, we may include them in some sessions to help them understand what you're going through and how they can support you at home. Therapy is a journey that unfolds at your own pace, and my goal is to help you feel better and more in control of your emotions. Each session is a step toward feeling happier and more confident!
